Bruce Au
Bruce Au currently serves as the Deputy Executive Manager at The Hong Kong Jockey Club, where he focuses on developing and vetting charitable grants aimed at youth development and education. Additionally, he is the Advisory Committee Secretariat for JC Project LIFT, a US$92 million initiative designed to implement an Urban Graduation Approach for poverty alleviation.
Bruce is a member of the Management Committee for the Jockey Club Design Institute for Social Innovation. He has previously served as the Steering Committee Secretariat and an Expert Group Member for the CoolThink@JC initiative, which has effectively integrated computational thinking into primary education in Hong Kong.
Prior to his work at The Hong Kong Jockey Club, Bruce was the founding Director of Finance and Operations at Character Lab, a New York-based NGO that promotes scientific insights for the well-being of the next generation. He also worked as a strategy consultant at Dalberg Advisors, supporting mission-driven organizations, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and the World Bank, in tackling various social and economic challenges.
Bruce holds an MPA in International Development from Harvard Kennedy School and a BS in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT. He is also a graduate of Li Po Chun United World College of Hong Kong.
