Academics

Overview

At Bloom, academic learning transcends a traditional syllabus. We cultivate minds that can think critically, question boldly, and passionately seek knowledge and wisdom – or as the Confucian classic, The Great Learning, calls it, 格物 géwù, “the investigation of things”. Our curriculum, grounded in the well-respected UK framework, prepares students not only for academic success but also for meaningful engagement in the world around them.

At Bloom, we strive to instill a deep love of learning and a respect for traditional scholarship, while also embracing innovative and critical thinking. Our students thrive on academic inquiry and debate, fueling their curiosity and passion for subjects that extend well beyond standard curricula. This dynamic approach ensures they appreciate the wisdom of past scholars yet remain open to the evolving political, cultural, and academic landscapes.

In addition to the UK curriculum, we offer enriched instruction in academic communication, writing and research, STEM, media, and digital literacy. Our comprehensive approach ensures that our students are adept at navigating and contributing to the modern digital and global landscape. Our extension programs, including competitions, summer and exchange programs, further enhance our students' educational experiences. While the UK curriculum is mainly taught in English, the other opportunities mentioned are often offered in Chinese as well. For example, we have sister schools in mainland China and in the Entrepreneurship Program, we incorporate field trips to the Greater Bay Area as well as encourage students to regularly present in both Chinese and English, which are some of the ways we encourage their bilingual development and proficiency.

Our faculty consists of distinguished educators and scholars who bring a wealth of knowledge and a deep passion for teaching. They are committed to fostering an environment that stimulates intellectual growth. Supported by our state-of-the-art facilities, we provide a leading-edge educational experience.
