Claire Beggs
Claire Beggs began her teaching career in 2007 and brings over nineteen years of international experience across schools in the United Kingdom, Hong Kong, the Falkland Islands, and the United Arab Emirates. She holds a BA (Hons) in Art & Design from the University of Nottingham and a PGCE from the University of Exeter, and has taught across both the English National Curriculum and the International Baccalaureate programmes.
Throughout her career, Claire has held a range of leadership roles, including Head of Art and Design, Housemistress, and pastoral leader, supporting students in both their academic progress and personal development. She has worked extensively in start-up and developing schools, designing and implementing creative curricula, establishing specialist learning spaces such as ceramics and photography studios, and mentoring colleagues in building collaborative, student‑centred departments.
Claire believes that creative education helps young people develop confidence, curiosity, and resilience. She is committed to creating inclusive classroom environments where students feel safe and supported to explore ideas, take creative risks, collaborate with others, and discover their own creative voice within a strong school community.
