Eamonn O'Hagan

Music Teacher

Eamonn O'Hagan is an accomplished Music teacher with seven years' teaching experience in the UK and China. A firm believer in the transformative power of music, he champions the discipline as a vital force for nurturing creativity, resilience, and meaningful connections in students' lives.

Eamonn holds a Master of Arts in Music Education with Distinction from University College London, alongside QTS (Secondary Music) from the University of Sunderland and an LLB (Hons) from the University of Leicester. This distinctive combination of musical expertise, pedagogical insight, and legal training equips him with a uniquely thoughtful approach to education.

With a strong background in music production and performance, Eamonn brings advanced proficiency across multiple instruments, including piano (ABRSM Grade 8), drum kit (Trinity Grade 8), guitar, clarinet, and growing expertise in flute and oboe.

Eamonn taught Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level Music, MYP Performing Arts at Malvern College Chengdu, Hankai Secondary School Shenzhen, and ISA International School Guangzhou where he also guided students to gain successful admission to Juilliard and Berklee, and also built extracurricular programs in music technology and jazz. He has established High School Orchestra and directed choirs that enriched school life through memorable performances. He is particularly proud of coaching a student to win 1st Prize in the International Competition of Composers' Creativity.

A firm believer in inclusive and student-centred learning environments, Eamonn is attuned to helping young people with diverse needs to thrive through music. Joining Saint Too Bloom Academy, he embraces the school's emphases on entrepreneurship, innovation, and applied learning and looks forward to supporting students through creative musical experiences that foster confidence, collaboration, and personal growth.
