Gwendolyn Sheng - Our Team

As a Hong Kong Registered Teacher and member of the HKFEW, Gwendolyn Sheng is a highly experienced and passionate Chinese educator. She impressively holds PRC National Senior High School Chinese and Junior High School English Teaching Certificates, a Bachelor's degree in Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language alongside a Master's degree in Chinese Studies (Language Education) from The Education University of Hong Kong as well as Peking University's Teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language Training Certificate.

Gwendolyn previously taught HKDSE and IGCSE Chinese at a local Hong Kong secondary school, serving in key roles within their Guidance and Discipline Team and the Student Innovation Department. She also gained higher-education Chinese teaching experience at the College of International Exchange in a leading university.

An award-winning writer in national literary contests, Gwendolyn inspires students by example to discover their own creative voices through innovative pedagogy, and by integrating scriptwriting, filmmaking, and drama into Chinese learning. She has led her students to winning numerous prizes in the Hong Kong Schools Speech Festival and the Non-Chinese Speaking Students Chinese Talent Competitions.

Combining her expertise in positive education, SEN support, and academic rigor, Gwendolyn brings professionalism, passion, and cross-cultural understanding to the Bloom community.
