Hinson Ma

PE Teacher

Hinson Ma is a dedicated and passionate Physical Education educator whose teaching philosophy is rooted in the transformative power of sports. For him, physical education is not merely about exercise, but a vital platform for instilling lifelong values such as commitment, resilience, and the courage to thrive beyond personal limits -- principles that define his approach both on the field and in the classroom.

Hinson holds a Bachelor of Social Sciences in Sport and Recreation Leadership from the Hong Kong Baptist University and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education from the Hong Kong Institute of Education, where he majored in Physical Education with a minor in Special Needs. This robust academic foundation has equipped him with the specialized expertise essential to designing inclusive, dynamic, and developmentally appropriate programs that cater to a diverse spectrum of learners.

Having taught PE for over a decade in local secondary schools, Hinson has a deep understanding of the physical, emotional, and competitive development of young people. Throughout his career, he has built and trained school sports teams across multiple disciplines, guiding students from their first introduction to sports to achieving competitive success. In recent years, he has expanded his practice into professional strength and conditioning, training semi-professional and elite athletes -- an experience that further refined his ability to guide each student at their current level to reach new heights.

At Saint Too Bloom Academy, Hinson delivers both A-Levels and HKDSE Physical Education curricula while actively enriching the school community through coaching during lessons, lunchtimes, and co-curricular activities. Inspired by the school's vibrant and dynamic ethos, Hinson contributes his expertise to a school whose values closely mirror his own, helping students unlock their full potential both on and off the field.
