Serena Yip - Our Team

With a deep-rooted passion for music and a wealth of teaching experience, Serena Yip is an esteemed music educator dedicated to nurturing the next generation of musicians and music enthusiasts. Her journey in the field of education has been marked by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a genuine desire to make a lasting impact on the lives of her students.

Serena obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Music from the Hong Kong Baptist University, and her musical accolades include an Associate Diploma in Recital in Piano from Trinity College London and Grade 8 qualifications in both Theory and Vocal from the Associated Board of The Royal Schools of Music. She has also completed the Montessori Early Childhood Teacher Education Programme in Age 3-6. This comprehensive academic foundation has enabled her to develop a holistic understanding of the art of music and children's development, which she has seamlessly integrated into her teaching approach.

Serena served as a class teacher and music ensemble instructor in primary school and Montessori teacher where she developed a deep understanding of the unique learning needs and preferences of young students. In these roles, she designed and implemented engaging lesson plans that combined foundational music theory with hands-on, interactive activities, such as ukulele, keyboard, and melodica performance.
